Ferd, Tom C.:

Thanks for your kind reply!

It was a long time in the making... Started in 1985, but well worth it.  The functioning turbo-generator and duplex steam pump were projects in their own right.

I hope to find a local distributor for that water treatment stuff, Tom.  I suppose I could phone the outfit in Florida to mail me a bottle.  They have a web page, albeit a little sparse.

Try LSB 8000.  Made in Florida.  Not sure who or if they have an importer.

My 3 1/2" gauge CPR Hudson is now ready for track trials, after a couple of successful steamings on a roller test track.  Will take it to the Montreal Live Steamers track for the July Grand Spectacle on the long weekend.  Transport is still a problem but we'll rent some appropriate wheels.

I wonder if I might solicit some advice/help here.  The boiler on said loco is steel and corrosion will be a problem.  What corrosion suppressant do you steamers use in your steel boilers?  Any supplier in the Cambridge ON area?

Thanks for your help.
