Basics in posting a New Topic.
« Reply #1 on: June 29, 2007, 03:00:05 PM »
Hello
I have had many questions with respect to posting to the forum. Here are some very basic steps you to get you started and enjoying your community.

Steps to post a NEW Topic:
  • Click on the category you would like to add a post or topic to. (i.e.. 7.25/7.5 Live Steam).
  • Once you are within the category you are adding a post to, click on the New Topic button (right hand side).
This will open a new page with the topic template. Here are the key features. Play with the rest.
  • Subject - Enter the topic title. Try to keep the title brief and accurate.
  • TAGS - These are key words 1 or 2 that summarize the topic, and are used for indexing the forum.
  • Message Icon : Choose the mesage icon that best fits your topic.
  • BB Code : All the buttons below the message icon are preset BB codes that can be used to customise your post. There is also a Youtube and eBay button to allow quick additions from both sites within your thread. Highlight the type you would like changes and click on either the font or colour bar to customise the type. Clicking on any of the smilies will add them to the message.
  • Attach :This allows you to add images to your post. You can add up to 10 images up to am maximum of 250kb per image. For additional images click on the (more attachments) link.
  • Last 3 options are : Spell Check - opens a window that highlights any spelling errors. - Preview enables you to see the final post before it is posted, and Post will make you thread live.
Hope this is usefull to you - should you have any questions please use the Help menu first along the top menu, and feel free to send a member of the admin team a message.

PS- To reply to a post follow the same steps after clicking on the Reply button in the right hand menu.
