Well, Mel and I were back at it last Sunday.  We got the box together and hung on the engine for a test.  Paint will come in the spring.  The number plate fit nicely over our hole.

Here is the box together.  The hole is to get a hand into to put a bolt thru the shaft for the valve.  The other is with the mounting tabs MIG welded on.  I am learning to MIG weld.   Find it hard to see where the tip is going.

Hi,

Jack has been whinning for years about the lack of sand on this engine.  I finally got Mel interested in building boxes to add.  We started on the rear one by making a valve assy. and then welding up some sheet steel.  Watch along as I build and report.
