I don't think it got cold enough this winter to freeze very deep  :), and there's not enough moisture in the ground to freeze anyway  :(  When the Bobcat man made that cut last fall.....the clay was just dust down a foot.

I found out something yesterday too.  The gauge on my 20' rad. curve at the top of the hill is a little tight at 7-5/8".  The 18" wheelbase cars "growl" a little going around it.  I'm going to widen it to 7-3/4" and see how that works.  I've got plenty of wheel tread to keep from falling between the rails  ;)

I'm surprised your ground isn't frozen hard as a brick.  Ours is and still snow covered.  Yours is looking good though.
