Thanks
Have the book and will look it up. One of the many eBay purchases. One can never have too many books.
Thanks again

Ferd,
pictures, drawings and all the details can be found in:
"LBSC" His Life and Locomotives - by Brian Hollingsworth

you are based in Canada, so this source might not be the best:
http://www.camdenmin.co.uk/Biog.htm
but I am sure you can find it locally as well?

great read and and a super reference book for all the fans of LBSC

Hi Chris
Great looking loco. Would love to see pics of the inside cylinders.

PS. Pics can also be added from your computer directly using the "Attach: Choose File" button below the input text box.
To add more images click on the "(more attachments)" link and each click adds another button, up to a max of 10.

Hi Russ,
thanks for your help
I have used "insert image" function to load my pictures and everything was fine, but when I went back to edit my message later... they were gone  ???
Maybe it was because they were on the limit allowed (1200 pixels wide)?
I have inserted slightly smaller pictures and they stayed OK since

As for the locos - they are both a bit more  ;D than "...some 2 1/2" locos..."
first is one and only "TUGBOAT ANNIE", designed and built by LBSC himself - four cylinder with just two sets of valve gear (inside cylinders using LBSC's version of Holcroft drive mechanism).
You can see some of this gear in the close-up below:

the other loco is 2 1/2" version of "JOSIE"
Original LBSC design was for O gauge (coal fired!) and based on New York Central "Hudsons"

Two pictures showed up fine.  Great to see some 2 1/2" locos.

Easiest way to add photos is to use the "attach" icon at the bottom of the area where you create a new posting.  Click on "browse" to point to the picture on your PC and then if you want to add more pictures just click on "more attachments" and another window for another picture pops up.  You can have 10 attachments max.  Make sure each picture file is under 250KB in size.

Hope this helps.
