Here is a great example of a propane fired locomotive that can run on both propane and coal by switching the firebox grate. This locomotive is an impeccably built duplicate of a Nova Scotia steam engine built from the original plans and is a fine runner. It was built by the late Barry Graham, the former Secretary of the Golden Horseshoe Live Steamers and was the first and only engine that he built. It was acquired by a fellow club member who has converted it to run on propane as well as coal by exchanging a gas burner for the grates.
